RuneScape Community's first price guide appeared in 2002, for RuneScape Classic. It was written and maintained by aliq121, but later taken over by Charlie in 2003.

A week after RuneScape 2 was released, Ben_Goten78 created The Guide to the RuneScape Marketplace - also known as the "Market Price Guide" - and has independently maintained it ever since. It has been a chartbuster for RuneScape Community, accumulating thousands of views per day. In May of 2006, it was incorporated into Zybez, as you see it today and is now updated daily, by a number of people.

This is a guide, not a bible. Use your better judgement and common sense if you are planning on buying a lot of items.
